Hexagon Geospatial Benelux 2016 – Event Summary

We are pleased to announce a successful annual user conference – Hexagon Geospatial Benelux 2016!

Just as the previous year, the event was held on the same location, Kontakt der Kontinenten in Soesterberg. The venue has been transformed from a monastery and reflects the European charm of old-meets-new. With yet an increase in attendance, including C-level executives, technical experts, end users, and media, the fully-packed event was a big hit.

The event was divided into two tracks – general and parallel. The morning session set the tone for the event with keynote from Peter Lievense (editor-in-chief of iBestuur) who emphasized how the Dutch government in The Hague relates to Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in this day and age. Patrick de Groot (Director of Operations at Imagem) discussed Imagem’s vision, roadmap and success stories; supported by Kenyon Waugh’s take on developments with the Hexagon Geospatial technology. Wouter Brokx (CEO at Imagem) further discussed the role of Hexagon Smart M.Apps in Benelux.

Parallel sessions ran through the afternoon with three tracks – Business Solutions, Technology Updates, and International Success Stories featuring eighteen speakers for presentations and live demonstrations.

Throughout the day, there were multiple opportunities for attendees to interact, have private meetings, and exchange ideas. We hope the repeat the success of the event again next year and hope to see you there!
